Developer discusses options Developer discusses options  (Montgomery Advertiser, January 8, 2003)

Update as of Thursday, January 2: Mr. Fred Bennett, the developer for the Low-Income Apartments on Burbank, did not receive funding for the 2002-2003 year. After reading this, I know people will wonder if this means the apartments will not be built. At this point, we really don't know. We will not know until the meeting on January 7th.

The meeting where Jon Dow, Executive Director of BONDS, will act as a mediator will take place on January 7, 2003. Some of the people that will be in attendance are: Ken Groves, Tommy Tyson, Rosalind Toles, James Boston, Phyllis Roberts, Becky Webb and Ben Capshaw.

Update as of Friday, November 15: The proposed construction of the apartments has been delayed. There was a gentlemen at the meeting that has a 5% ownership interest in Havenwood that has not agreed to sell his portion of the land. City Planning Commission members did not think they could approve or disapprove the proposal because of this issue. It will now be left up to the City Attorneys to see if there really is an issue regarding ownership interest.
